Well, the holidays are over and it’s back to regular life…or at least as “regular” as life can be when your kid has had almost as many snow days as instructional days all month. Even she’s glad she’s going back to school.

Of course, “regular” hasn’t exactly described my life in a couple years, either.

Tomorrow is a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound to help my GYN figure out what’s going on with my left breast. I won’t get into TMI, but there are some symptoms in this world that have to be checked out no matter who you are or what your medical history is. I have one of them.

Thankfully, one symptom is all I have–the bloodwork from this past Friday came back normal. So woohoo! I’ll take that as a win.

In the meantime, I’m getting appointments and chores knocked out, writing when I can, reading when I can’t, and generally plugging along. It’s sanity-making to have the house to myself, if only for an hour.

Here’s hoping the sanity streak continues for a long, long time.
